The current versions of JobScheduler (1.6.4014) and JADE (1.5.4014) are the last to allow use of Java 6.
All future releases of JobScheduler and JADE will only support Java 7.
This week we have made two two releases for JobScheduler and one for JADE:
- 1.5.4014 was a bugfix release for JobScheduler and JADE with minor improvements
- 1.6.4014 is a release for JobScheduler which brings further bugfixes and new features in the JobScheduler kernel that considerably extend the number of JobSchedulers that can work together, for example in clusters.
Once again our main representative in Japan, Satoru Funai from OSS Labs, together with the JobScheduler Japanese User Group will be taking part in a major event in Japan. This time it is the OSC2013 .Enterprise conference and exhibition, which takes place on Friday, 13th December at the TKP Shibuya Conference Center in Tokyo.
We are extending the services we offer customers to include migration from CA 7 (CA 7 Workload Automation, from Ca Technologies) and the Automic / UC4 Job Scheduler to the SOS GmbH JobScheduler.
Our main representative in Japan, Satoru Funai from OSS Labs is representing the JobScheduler Japanese User Group at the 2013 Tokyo/Fall Open Source Conference.
Our second release for the 64 bit JobScheduler (version 1.5.3253) and updates for the 32 bit version and for JADE are now available for download.
These releases are a combination of bug fixes and some minor improvements.
The Japan JobScheduler user group held its first public session at the July Tech Festa 2013 public DevOps event, which took place in Tokyo on the 14th July.
The jump in the versions number from 1.3 to 1.5 marks the release of the 64-bit Windows and Linux JobScheduler versions along with new releases of the 32-bit JobScheduler and JADE.
With their release of version 1.1.3 of the MariaDB Java client library the MariaDB developers have removed the last hurdle for the use of their database connector with JobScheduler.
