The jump in the versions number from 1.3 to 1.5 marks the release of the 64-bit Windows and Linux JobScheduler versions along with new releases of the 32-bit JobScheduler and JADE.
The 64-bit version not only brings an improvement in performance when running on suitable hardware: installation is simplified and the use of Java DOM and the implementation of the javax.script scripting API are important milestones paving the way for future developments.
As announced last week, we are also including the MariaDB JDBC connector as part of the JobScheduler download package
You are advised to read the release notes before updating a production system:
- JOE (JobScheduler Object Editor)
- JID (JobScheduler Information Dashboard)
- JITL (JobScheduler Integrated Template Library)
- JADE (JobScheduler Advanced Data Exchange)
Support for these versions will be available for two years. This means that with this release we will no longer be supporting JobScheduler and JADE versions 1.3.11 and older. Commercial customers with older systems can take advantage of our update service: for more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
