Yes, thirty years – that is about 15 cycles of Moore's Law and something to be proud of – particularly in information technology.
Founded in 1983, the theme of office automation software and services remains unbroken through our history. Starting with mainframe machines, a decade later we had moved on to concentrate on automated document management on Windows and Unix systems.
After several years' development, 2003 marked the first commercial installation of JobScheduler and the open source license was introduced 2005. We started development of our file transfer application SOSFTP in 2009 and its successor JADE in 2011.
We opened our subsidiary in Switzerland in 2010 and with commercial JobScheduler license holders on all continents except Antarctica (at the moment!) we can truly say that we are on the way to establishing a world-wide customer base.
2012 marked a particular highlight with SOS GmbH being included by the Gartner information technology research and advisory company in its Magic Quadrant for workload automation.
We would like to thank all colleagues, partners and customers, past and present, for helping us come this far and are looking forward to the challenges that the next few years will certainly bring!
