We are pleased to announce the 1.9-RC1 release candidate of JobScheduler and JADE
The release candidate is feature complete, with the most important improvements being:

Improved Exit Code Handling which will will allow more refined workflow control.

New JobScheduler Reporting Interface that allows easy integration into external reporting systems. Sample reports are available for Microsoft Excel. The Reporting Interface provides data for inventory and for execution reports.

Named Monitors, allowing the reuse of existing monitor scripts for any number of jobs.

Improved Timeout Control by use of SIGTERM and SIGKILL signals for terminating jobs.

New SSH Implementation for SSH and SFTP jobs with improved control of remote sessions.

Proxy Support for JADE Managed File Transfer with FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, WebDAV
And we have fixed a large number of bugs. See the Release Notes for a detailed list of all improvements and bug-fixes.

Note also that with the upcoming final release 1.9 and onwards a Java Runtime Environment 1.8 or later will be required.
IMPORTANT
This is a release candidate and not intended for use on production systems.
We are releasing this candidate so that we can incorporate feedback from as wide a range of use situations as possible in the final version. We would therefore very much appreciate every user that installs the release candidate on a test system and reports back with their findings. Help us test this release as thoroughly as possible.
We expect to ship the final 1.9 release in 2-3 weeks.
