    the new <settings> element is a sub-element of job and has the following sub-elements:
    <mail_on_error>yes|no</mail_on_error>
    <mail_on_warning>yes|no</mail_on_warning>
    <mail_on_success>yes|no</mail_on_success>
    <mail_on_process>yes|no|1...n</mail_on_process>
    <mail_on_delay_after_error>...</mail_on_delay_after_error>
    <log_mail_to>...</log_mail_to>
    <log_mail_cc>...</log_mail_cc>
    <log_mail_bcc>...</log_mail_bcc>
    <log_level>...</log_level>
    <history>...</history>
    <history_on_process>...</history_on_process>
    <history_with_log>...</history_with_log>

    these overwrite the settings in factory.ini, work in the same way, and may be changed at run time.
